Meet Kallen James DeBoef.
Tiffany was having contractions all day long on Friday so we headed to the hospital about 6:00pm. They had us in a triage room until 9:00 before we got our own room. Because of that Tiffany had to go through some pretty tough contractions without any medication. When they got us in our room they decided to rupture her bag of waters. That really made things happen fast and as a result Kallen's heart rate dropped pretty low. Because of the low heart rate they decided to do an emergency c-section. They put Tiffany out and because of that they wouldn't let me in the room to watch. Within a minute of putting her under they already had Kallen out. As soon as he had been delivered they let me in to see him. It took awhile for them to get Tiffany all stitched up and back to a coherent state. That was pretty stressful but fortunately family was here so I brought Kallen out for them to see which helped keep my mind preoccupied. When they finally got her to our room and she 'came to' she was pretty groggy the rest of the night but super excited to be a mom. We are very proud parents and are excited to show our little guy off to the world! Tiffany is doing well and we've been told that they're going to try getting her out of bed for the first time a little later this morning. We know that will be painful but it needs to happen sooner than later. We'll keep everyone updated.
Oh, I just realized I should include his stats, huh? He's a little guy - 6 lbs. 5 oz., 20 inches long. He's got our blue eyes and long eye lashes. I think he's super cute but I'll let you judge that for yourselves.
